Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye in the qualifications system
On November 17, a delegation consisting of employees of the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System visited the Vocational Qualifications Authority of the Republic of Türkiye (Mesleki Yeterlilik Kurumu — MYK), which has extensive experience in the qualifications system. On the first day of the visit, a meeting was held between MYK Chairman Aşkın Tören and the Institute’s Director A. Allabergenov. It was emphasized that this meeting is a continuation of the effective efforts and friendly relations initiated by the leaders of both countries, and represents an important first step in strengthening cooperation in the qualifications sector.

During the meeting, the MYK Director provided information on the current state of Türkiye’s qualifications system. In particular, it was noted that 937 occupational standards and 694 national qualification standards have been developed in Türkiye, and 267 qualification assessment centers are currently operating. It was also highlighted that MYK has issued qualification certificates to 3.2 million applicants to date.

The Director of the Institute delivered a presentation on the practical processes being implemented within Uzbekistan’s National Qualifications System. Participants were informed about sectoral councils, the process of developing occupational standards, as well as the Institute’s results and strategic plans. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views.
